Welcome to the Dr. Taheem MD blog

If you live with chronic pain, you have probably spent a lot of time searching for answers — and found a confusing mix of jargon, quick fixes, and advice that does not quite fit your situation. This blog is our attempt to do better.

Why we started writing

In the clinic, the same thoughtful questions come up again and again. What is actually causing my pain? Will this injection hurt? How long until I feel better? Is it safe to keep exercising? These deserve clear, unhurried answers — and not everyone has time to cover all of them in a single visit.

So we are putting those answers here, in plain language, written and reviewed by Dr. Taheem. Think of it as the conversation we would have if we had all the time in the world.

What you can expect

We will keep things practical and grounded in evidence. Most posts will fall into a few familiar areas:

  • Pain education — what is happening in your body, and why pain sometimes lingers long after an injury heals.
  • Procedures explained — what an injection or nerve block actually involves, start to finish, so nothing feels like a surprise.
  • Recovery & self-care — movement, posture, sleep, and the small habits that protect your progress between visits.
  • Clinic news — updates on services, locations, and how to get the most from your care.
Our goal is simple: pain managed, life reclaimed. Good information is part of that.

A quick, important note

Everything here is for general education. It is written carefully, but it cannot account for your full history the way a consultation can — so it is not a substitute for personal medical advice. If something you read raises a question about your own care, that is a good thing to bring to an appointment.

Where to start today

While the first articles are on the way, you do not have to wait to take a step forward:

  1. Browse the conditions we treat to understand what might be behind your pain.
  2. See how we treat them on the procedures page.
  3. Try the free, follow-along exercises & stretches Dr. Taheem recommends.

And if you would rather talk it through with someone, we would be glad to hear from you. New articles will appear here regularly — you can subscribe at the bottom of any page to be notified when they do.
