Botox Injection for Migraine
Botox injection for migraine is an FDA-approved interventional treatment for chronic migraine — roughly 15 or more headache days per month — that hasn’t responded well to oral medications. Small, precise doses of botulinum toxin are injected at set points around the head, neck, and shoulders to block the release of pain-signaling chemicals.

This procedure is commonly used to treat Migraine & Headache.
How it works
Following the standard chronic-migraine protocol, Dr. Taheem administers a series of small Botox injections across roughly 31 sites in the forehead, temples, back of the head, neck, and shoulders. The toxin interrupts the release of pain-transmitting neurotransmitters, calming the overactive headache pathways before an attack can build.
What to expect
The procedure takes about 15 minutes in the office with no downtime. Relief typically builds over one to two weeks and lasts about three months, after which treatment is repeated. Many patients see a meaningful drop in how often and how severely migraines strike.
