Spheno-Palatine Ganglion Block
A sphenopalatine ganglion (SPG) block is a minimally invasive, needle-free treatment for migraines, cluster headaches, and certain facial pain. A small amount of anesthetic is applied to the sphenopalatine ganglion — a bundle of nerves behind the nose — to calm the pathways that drive these headaches.

This procedure is commonly used to treat Migraine & Headache.
How it works
Using a soft, thin applicator passed through the nostril, Dr. Taheem delivers anesthetic to the sphenopalatine ganglion at the back of the nasal cavity. There are no needles into the face, and the block interrupts the nerve signaling involved in migraine and cluster headache.
What to expect
The procedure takes only a few minutes and requires no recovery time. Many patients experience prompt relief, and the block can be repeated as part of an ongoing headache plan.
