Trigger Point Injections

Trigger point injections deactivate painful muscular "knots" (trigger points) that commonly form in the neck, back, and shoulders in myofascial pain syndrome. A small injection relaxes the tight band of muscle and relieves both local and referred pain.

What it treats

This procedure is commonly used to treat Myofascial Pain Syndrome and Chronic Neck Pain.

How it works

Dr. Taheem injects a small amount of anesthetic (sometimes with steroid) directly into each trigger point. This releases the tight muscle band and interrupts the cycle of pain and muscle guarding.

What to expect

The quick procedure can target several trigger points in a single visit. Relief is often noticeable within days, especially when paired with stretching, posture correction, and strengthening.
